Overhead Door has been awarded the 2012 Women's Choice Award by WomenCertified® in the Garage Door Category based on a WomenCertified Brand Preference Survey, which was developed based on a joint study with the Wharton School of Business.

WomenCertified, the voice of the female consumer, honors brands with the Women’s Choice Award seal, which recognizes brands based on a woman’s propensity to recommend that brand to others. More than 5,000 female consumers were surveyed about their favorite garage door brands, and Overhead Door came out on top. Safety and Security in Your Garage

A garage door is one of the largest moving objects in your home, and is typically used every day,giving you good reason to keep it in proper working order. Garage door safety tips Mount the garage door opener control button out of the reach of small children (at least five feet from the floor) and where you have a clear view of the door. Do not let children play with garage door remote controls; explain that the remote controls are not toys. Set a good example for children and discuss garage door safety with them; explain how to operate the door safely. Test your garage door opener’s reversing mechanism monthly by placing a 2 x 4 board in the door’s path.
